Meet Ryan Hundt | Owner Black Cat Barbershop

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ryan Hundt and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ryan, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
In my opinion the habits that helped me succeed in my career are always taking care of my clients and making sure they’re 100% happy with their service every time they leave the shop and also trying to be as consistent as I can always.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I was cutting hair on the side in high school and working a dead end job to realizing I can make money and be my own boss so I went to barber college for about a year and then jumped right into a shop after I was licensed working open to past close almost every day, 8 years later of blood sweat and tears here I am owning my own shop and being consistently booked.. hard work and keeping your eye on a bigger picture goal will always pay off in the end!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Bisbee and tombstone for sure! It’s a piece of history and I love shopping for vintage stuff down there! Plus there’s always crazy cars and people to see down there!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My clients I wouldn’t be here without them!
