We had the good fortune of connecting with SaraMaria and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi SaraMaria, how does your business help the community?
Business Babe Basics helps women get their Business started within seven days. We equipped them with everything from getting their entity registered all the way to social media. Also we connect women to a network of women own businesses called ‘Business Besties’,  that are part of our local community, that offer discounts to the client, as well as attending networking events, called ‘Boss Hour ‘which are monthly. 

At this event, we celebrate one woman owned business and then allow networking so new friendships and collaborations to be formed. My Company helps women build their net worth and expand their network, build community and collaboration. My business also showcases other women and businesses bringing them new clients and income as well


Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

When I moved to Phoenix in August of 2017, I  intentionally sought women who were making an impact in Phoenix.
In the almost 5 years, I have built an extensive network of powerful women who want to uplift other women and help them get to the next level.
I am a connector, and I was able to bring women together from different communities that also were passionate about  women’s empowerment and introduce them to each other, building that bridge and reinforcing the belief that ‘We are BETTER together”.
I fully believe in Collaboration over Competition because I have seen it work in my own life and businesses.
In 2019, I created ‘I am Sara Maria LLC ‘and my first brand under the umbrella, xoxo,Sara Maria, which was Influencer marketing for Minority owned and Women owned micro brands.
In 2021, I created my her second brand, ‘Business Babe Basics’.
I created this brand because I wanted to help women with the foundations of building a business and give them access to my personal network of women that have helped me  be successful. I want to connect women to every resource to make them the best in all areas of their lives.
I am the Plug for Boss Babes!
I  was named #1 woman to watch PHX 2022 & #1 Business Consultant by Phoenix Entrepreneur Magazine February 2022


Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

I would take my BFF to:

-The Lola for Sunday brunch, because it is the best and I am obsessed with their chicken and waffles.

-Postinos because it is one of my favorite restaurants and I love the brussel sprouts salad
-Scottsdale Quarter & Fashion Square for shopping. And My favorite boutique is Style and Co at Tanger Outlets!
Followed by Dinner at Mama Por Dios because if you’ve been there, then you know it is such a vibe! It’s a restaurant with nightclub vibes!


Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?

My mother, who has always supported my entrepreneur endeavors. She wants told me that if I said I was gonna do something she knew I was gonna do it!
Olenka Cullinan. She was the first woman that I met when I move to Phoenix, five years ago,. I heard her story – she came here from Russia with nothing & was able to build an empire. When I heard her story I’ve never thinking if she could do it I Can too!
Pat Gillum. She was my first mentor and the first person who showed me how important your mindset truly is. She is still one of my mentors and close friends and  I consider her family.
