We had the good fortune of connecting with Sean Normoyle and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sean, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?

I saw a need for this based on the amount of short-term-rentals “str’s” the valley has seen. I also own several personal strs in Scottsdale which I’ve owned and operated for years. It didn’t take long for friends to ask if I could manage their properties as well. I’m currently managing 40 properties, happening in a span of just two short years. The business has all been word of mouth thus far.

I also sell real-estate and I specialize in strs. I know what to look for and which properties will be home-runs. It’s easy to get repeat business when you make your clients money. They get addicted to it and want more. It’s a win-win.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.

I worked in the corporate grind for 18 years before gaining the courage to rip the bandaid off. I’m thankful for the time spend there because it did provide me with the project management, supply chain, and problem solving skills that bleed into my business now.

The journey is still young but it’s been far from easy! I work long nights and almost every weekend. It’s all for the prize at the end of the road. I started with an exit plan in mind and that’s what the chase is all about.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

I’d say to start of a killer day let’s hit lunch with a view at The Sanctuary resort.

The next spot would be Talking Stick casino table games!

Catch the best sunset at the Canopy rooftop in Oldtown.

Dinner would have to be Oceans 44.

Finish the night at Social Tap and Goodwood Tavern bar in Oldtown.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?

I’d like to give a shout out to the book The Fastlane Millionaire by DJ DeMarco!

This book, along with my friend and Co-Owner of Absolute, Caleb Street, inspired me to leave the corporate world and go all in!
