Meet Shawn Rebecca Sims Previously Shawn Bradford

We had the good fortune of connecting with Shawn Rebecca Sims Previously Shawn Bradford and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Shawn Rebecca Sims, what’s the most important thing you’ve done for your children?
I wasn’t completely aware that I had any self-development work to do until after I got divorced with three kids, all 5 and under.
When all of my problems didn’t magically disappear the moment I got a divorce, I fell to my knees and had a profound realization that I needed to look inward to begin my healing journey.
Twelve years later, I have unraveled and healed from codependence and perfectionism. I have shed so many false identities.
I now look inward for my worth. I know I have healed ancestral wounds. And my children, now all teenagers, have a mom who is much more aware, mindful, and authentic, with the ability to meet them deeply where they are and hold space for them as they navigate their own challenges.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business has evolved as I have grown.
I started out teaching yoga in gyms and studios and eventually transitioned into businesses to expand my reach. In 2018, I went back to school to earn a Master of Science in Health Promotion with an emphasis in workplace wellness and began offering health promotion webinars and workshops.
I started off teaching in person, but my business quickly expanded into virtual spaces with an international reach.
One of the things that sets me apart is my ability to quickly read the energy of a group, whether I am teaching online or in person, and tailor the experience in real time so participants receive exactly what they need. No two workshops are ever the same because no two groups are the same.
Currently, I am especially enjoying teaching and speaking in person on important subjects such as Emotional Fitness, The Power of Gratitude, and Modern Mindfulness. I love facilitating deep group connection, insight, and healing.
A company that comes to one of my workshops will experience meaningful engagement, practical tools they can immediately apply, authentic connection, and a shift in awareness that extends far beyond the session itself.
It has not always been easy. Like most entrepreneurs, I have had to grow through uncertainty, self-doubt, and learning how to trust my voice. The biggest lesson I have learned is that my business grows in direct proportion to my own growth. The more embodied, clear, and aligned I become, the more impact I am able to make.
What I want the world to know about me and my brand is this: I do not just deliver information. I create experiences that help people reconnect to themselves, to each other, and to what truly matters.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
When I have friends visiting, we always go hiking at Piestewa Peak in north central Phoenix.
There are several trails, but my favorite is the Piestewa Peak Nature Trail, a shorter interpretive trail at the base that feels peaceful and immersive.
You are right off the freeway, yet it feels like you are deep in the desert.
After hiking, I take them to La Grande Orange Grocery & Pizzeria for the Mother Earth vegan pizza and a chocolate sea salt cookie, which is incredible.
The next day, we grab coffee at Strip Mall Coffee at 7th Street and Osborn.
Then we walk over to their sister company, Monsoon Market, to load up on a huge variety of health conscious mocktails to take to the Salt River for paddle boarding, where they will most likely see the wild Salt River horses.
Later that night, I take them downtown to Pomo Pizzeria Napoletana for a fantastic Italian meal and tiramisu for dessert.
The next day, I treat them to the best facialist in town, Erin with Desert Milk Skincare, located on 3rd Street just south of Indian School Road.
We order food in from Pita Jungle, a locally owned, health conscious favorite that treats their employees and customers like gold.
I round out the trip with coffee at Urban Collective on 7th Street south of Thomas while we browse some incredible thrift finds.
Then we head out to Scottsdale for a hike at Gateway Trailhead in the McDowell Sonoran Preserve.
We end the trip at Cibo downtown, another excellent Italian restaurant. You might want a reservation there.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My personal coach, Holly, helped me through so much these past three years as she went deep into my subconscious with me through dream work, energy healing, and coaching.
