We had the good fortune of connecting with Stephanie Fossum and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stephanie, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
From a young age, I’ve had a passion for beauty and aesthetics. I originally chose a career path in nursing to fulfill my need to care for people. One of my first jobs was in a senior living facility and my patients would love when I had extra time to pamper them. It was an easy decision when I realized that I could combine both my medical background and my love of aesthetics to build a full service wellness center. I wanted to build a company where both men and women receiving services would leave the spa feeling like the best version of themselves. When picking a location, I wanted the spa to be easily accessible for my patients which I was able to achieve in an upscale location right in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I have an eye for what is aesthetically pleasing and want to ensure that each treatment is customized to their unique facial structure. I take pride in my ability to accurately measure facial proportions and create a blueprint for each treatment plan. My background in nursing was instrumental in providing the foundation of understanding the human body and how it reacts to injectables. Getting to where I’m at today was not an easy journey but with persistence and determination, I have been able to overcome the many obstacles in my path. I have learned not to give up on your dreams and when people doubt you, keep working harder! I would like the world to know that Vibe’s purpose is to create the “best version of you” focused on what is most important to each individual.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Running a business in the prestigious Old Town Scottsdale area, I’ve had the luxury of becoming familiar with the other small business owners in the community and love to support their growing endeavors. I would take any visiting friends to Schmooze for coffee or drinks, sitting outside on their lovely patio. I would take friends for a wine tasting at Carlson Creek Winery followed by dinner at Cafe Monarch which is romantic fine dining restaurant near our spa. Scottsdale also has many fun and vibrant hotels for staycations such as The W Hotel.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My husband, Michael, has always been my biggest supporter. His background as a doctor and successful business owner was invaluable as he guided me through the process of building VibeMedSpas from the ground up. He has helped me manifest my vision of creating a place that focuses on both beauty and wellness. I have also had a strong team of providers, such as Dr. Briana Cain, who I admire and learn from on a daily basis.
