We had the good fortune of connecting with Sydney Carstens and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sydney, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I wanted to create loungewear for men and women that can be dressed up or down. I love elevated loungewear myself, so I was super passionate about creating pieces that were similar. I believe you shouldn’t have to sacrifice style for comfort.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am still a small business that is growing everyday. I have learned that the creating deep connections are important and social media is a very powerful platform. I think the word of mouth is also very important. I am a small woman owned business and I think if you want something, you should always go for it no matter the hardships you face along the way.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love the outdoors and being active. I would get my best friends to go on a hike, breakfast and shopping. Obviously being a small clothing company, shopping is a must!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate to my mom. She’s never given up on me and she’s always pushing me to meet my goals and go after my dreams.
