We had the good fortune of connecting with Taryn Ravi Sandesh and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Taryn, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I wanted to offer an all inclusive experience for my clients to dive deep into their healing and embody their radiance. Since 2012, I’ve studied and gained experience as a bodyworker (massage modalities), energy and sound facilitator, yogi and dancer, cultivating an eclectic tool box for anyone looking for somatic healing and embody holistic wellness. My vision is to be a part of wellness and creative retreats around the world, collaborating with fellow wellness practitioners and creatives to bring light and empowerment worldwide.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Dealing with some autoimmune reactions and major skin issues has inspired my journey of deep holistic healing by making better choices for my health; deeply listening to and honoring my body, choosing healthy foods and living without synthetic chemicals, managing stress naturally, and cultivating self acceptance through challenging times. Since my teen years, I began creating through the arts. I fell in love art modeling and belly dance. For years, I have been a belly dance performer, teacher of belly dance and yoga for small classes and retreats, and I now host women’s empowerment circles, sound healing meditation, and individual wellness coaching sessions for those devoted to their wellness journey. I am passionate about the body, movement, the arts, world music, and culture. Everything I do is to accept and connect back into our body and ignite our life force energy. I believe the world would be a better place if we turned our pain into purpose, align our life and choices with our values, show our beautiful light to the world, and love ourself through all seasons of life.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I currently live in Sedona, Arizona so I would take a friend to some of the beautiful hikes on the land of the majestic red rocks with breathtaking views! There are some yummy places for steak and seafood such as Salt Rock Kitchen and Hideaway House. If we traveled 2 hours south to the Phoenix area, there are some fun social dance scenes every night of the week! Everything from Brazilian zouk dancing to East coast swing! Then end the week with some live music or camping under the stars.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I am grateful for my teachers, mentors, clients, supporters, and loved ones who have shared their life energy, wisdom, support, and belief in me and my offerings. Also, humble gratitude for those who have came for a moment or a season that offered me the gift of healing through the painful lessons.
