Meet Tasha Wright | RN, CANS, BLS & ACLS

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tasha Wright and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tasha, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
We had a lot of experience in our fields but felt something was missing from the patient experience. We felt too rushed, too pressured to up-sell, and often not impressed with the quality of product. We wanted to be able to spend more time with our patients- as much time as was necessary to understand them and their needs- and have control over product quality and pricing. With Rouge and Wright, we think we have created the optimal customer and caregiver experience- profession, fairly priced with no pressure whatsoever. The customer is in charge and their well being is what matters to us and what drives us and what makes our jobs satisfying. Based on the results we are seeing and the feedback we are getting, we think our patients appreciate what we are doing.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Merrill and I come from two entirely different backgrounds. I started off my nursing career in the Neuro ICU at St. Joe’s. From there i worked for a plastic and reconstructive surgeon Dr. Toby Meltzer as a private nurse. After having my daughter i decided i needed a better work/home life balance so decided to get certified to do injectables and fillers, forming my own LLC and working as an Independant contractor. This gave me the flexibility to set my own schedule and be able to take time off to go back home and visit my family in the Midwest. I have faced many challenges and set backs during my journey and found it very difficult at times especially while being a single mom. My children were my biggest driving force. As i always tell them “lead by example”, it was my job to show and demonstrate to them that no challenge is too big to overcome and to continue moving forward, following your dreams. The name of our business Rouge&Wright stems from just this. (Wright) is a tribute to my children, Malana and Jaden Wright.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
It depends on the time of year of course, but let’s assume spring! We would hit a spring training game, Barrett Jackson and the waste management open for sure. I’d take them hiking on camelback or the McDowells, followed by a meal at Cock n Tails, The Rokerij, or OHSO. We’d have a shopping day including My sisters closet, Kierland, and the Scottsdale Quarter, and not to forget Merrills favorite Vintange and Antique shops!. Another day we would take a drive up to carefree/cave creek and maybe out towards seven springs or Bartlett lake, with a stop at Ravens view for wine and food with a view.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Our family, particularly our husbands (Mike Ford, and Ben Wilson), parents, and children.
