We had the good fortune of connecting with Taylor Fareri and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Taylor, what makes you happy? Why?
I am happiest when I am creating! There is something about sitting down, working on something and seeing it through. Art doesn’t always come out the way you planned, but that is half the fun!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Blue Fir was created during the start of the pandemic. My boyfriend and I were looking for a creative outlet and fun side-hustle! We combined his woodworking skills and my love of crafts to make Blue Fir.

We now make a wide variety of wooden signs. We have pop-culture , funny quotes and Arizona-themed designs. In addition to selling online, we also partner with five Arizona shops.

I also create crafting and DIY videos on social media! I love teaching and showing others how they can get crafty at home.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The valley has so many awesome restaurants and bars! Some of our favorites: Chula Seafood, Hula’s Modern Tiki, and Bitter and Twisted. Karaoke would definitely be on the itinerary!

We would shop at Frances Boutique, Changing Hands Bookstore and The Merchantile in Scottsdale.

Anyone visiting the valley has to take a hike! There are so many great trails to check out.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my boyfriend and co-creator, Geoff! I wouldn’t have been able to do any of this without his love and woodworking skills.
