We had the good fortune of connecting with Tiger Steps and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tiger, what do you want people to remember about you?
Tiger Steps is a chill, southwest, indie, surf, campfire duo with Arizona & California roots. Adam & Trevor have officially linked up in 2022 from a collection of goofy, open-minded, relatable perspectives as cousins who met many years prior within the family tree. They kindled their admiration for cooperative songwriting as early teenagers. They have since shared various bands throughout their lives and have also ventured into independent projects from one another over the years with different styles and influences. They treasure their memories and experiences sharing the stage with other creative talents in the past. They have always maintained a strong, consistent writing bond together with similar outlook and values as a duo in writing about life and the various lenses one may encounter throughout their journey. The drive to write music through the years has provided positive social and collaborative therapies to express feelings together. Their unique brand of entertainment fuses inviting, relatable tunes that even your grandmother can throw a simple groove to and easy-on-the-ear melodies, all walks of lobes considered. Driven by a prime melody of warm and bright vocal harmonies, Tiger Steps derives its name as Adam and Trevor both always have felt like they share a spiritual representation respectively as a Lion and Tiger among other visions and dreams included. Their sound and music narrows in unsuspecting and unnoticed as that of swift Tiger Steps until, before you know it, you find yourself singing the tune to yourself later, maybe even Tiger Steppin’ to the beat and tappin’ your toe. Sing-a-longs are always encouraged and welcome live. We hope our tunes will make you want to cut a rug, shimmy & shake, tap and sing along, or in your own way share your space in a creative exchange. Our songs & our participation are our legacy we hope to leave for our friends, family, and strangers alike as our energy in the universe. Life is too short. We’re all human and within our imperfections can find strength together, Be cool to one another. Stay tuned by visiting our site at https://tigersteps.hearnow.com/and and following Tiger Steps on all the platforms you use/listen.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Tiger Steps is a blend of influences that Adam and Trevor have fused from their respective generations as kindred cousins growing up mainly in Southern California and the Southwest. Heading to the beach, skateboarding, and hiking outdoors was the theme of our youth. We mixed our sound from a simplicity of melodies and rhythms both acoustic and electric. After learning the challenges of the demands from coordinating multiple band members and aligning everyone on the same page and purpose, Adam and Trevor have since had a goal and realization to keep their songs and music they have written over the years alive and deliver them as a legacy together into their old age. Whether more band members come and go along the way, they have decided to embrace their sound as the find themselves still regularly looking to write and play their art together. While life can throw some curve balls no doubt, there seems to be a grand timing of things that represents a beauty in itself. There is a season for all things. The essence of the new release album Two’s Toned exemplifies the fine barrel aged sound of some original songs that have been written and played for years, just never release officially and distributed to the public. We are enthusiastic about the mobility of sound and lifestyle to include fellow outdoor enthusiasts alike. We encourage people to go outside and capture life in every moment possible. Participate and find energy and motivation to fuel your purpose. Express yourself positively and be kind to one another among the culture exchanges of our world. It often takes mistakes to learn and perfect ourselves with slow progress. Work to be worthy of forgiveness for yourself and for others.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Tiger Steps being from the southwest, finds a drive within outdoor/surf culture.

You may find Tiger Steps indulging at restaurants like local taco shops, italian joints, or even somewhere with a killer slice of pizza or falafel sandwich. It’s common you will find us out in a campsite playing our set on our wireless Fishman amplifiers to our neighboring campers, or hiking a long a trail at a state or national park nearby. We also enjoy local parks to hang out and watch the clouds or roam around the citrus park with our dogs. We find ourselves more and more passionate about gardening and the surrounding environments around us to explore like that of botanical gardens. Having both traveled to various countries, we can appreciate the excitement of different cultures and new experiences. Within the scope of our immediate audiences, we find ourselves roaming from local lakes around Phoenix and southern California to other landscapes like Sedona, and Flagstaff in Northern Arizona in addition to other cool places like Joshua Tree.
