We had the good fortune of connecting with Tisha Michelle and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tisha, how do you think about risk?
Taking risks has been the foundation of my journey. When I decided to start a training school to prepare individuals for work in home care, I was told it wasn’t a good idea and that there wasn’t any real money in it. Still, I had faith in God and trusted myself enough to move forward. That one decision changed everything. Once the school was established, the home care portion practically landed in my lap. If I hadn’t taken that risk to start the school, my agency would have never come to life. Looking back, I see that every major step forward came from being willing to trust God, trust myself, and take the leap even when the outcome wasn’t guaranteed.

What should our readers know about your business?
My business journey started with a leap of faith. I opened a training school to prepare individuals to work in home care, even though I was told it wasn’t a good idea and that I wouldn’t make money from it. What I’ve learned is that when you trust God and move forward anyway, the right doors open. That’s exactly what happened; from the school came the opportunity to open my own home care agency, and that risk turned into a business that gave jobs to caregivers and dignity to families who wanted their loved ones cared for at home.

What sets me apart is that I don’t just look at business as numbers; I see it as purpose and a ministry. For me, it has always been about impact and creating spaces where people feel seen, supported, and cared for whether that’s in healthcare,( A Hopeful Home) through spiritual guidance, or in the work I’m building now with media and publishing.

Getting here hasn’t been easy. I’ve faced setbacks, financial challenges, and moments where I questioned myself. But each obstacle taught me resilience. I learned to trust God’s timing, to be resourceful, and to see challenges not as dead ends but as invitations to grow and start again.

What I’m most proud of is that I never gave up. I’ve built businesses, sold businesses, started again and reinvented myself more than once. And through it all, the common thread has been faith, service, and the belief that we can always rebuild stronger than before.

What I want the world to know about me and my brand story is this: I am proof that starting again is sacred. Every risk, every challenge, and every reinvention has shaped me into the entrepreneur and guide I am today. My businesses are not just about profit; they are about purpose, people, and possibility.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting me in Scottsdale, I’d make sure they experienced the local gems that show the heart of the city. We’d start mornings with coffee at Berdena’s or Echo Coffee; both are cozy spots with a community feel. For brunch, I’d take them to Hash Kitchen for their fun atmosphere or The Montauk, which always has great energy.

In the afternoons, we’d explore Old Town Scottsdale wandering through the shops and galleries, and maybe slipping into a wellness spot like a sound bath studio or a spa lounge for a reset. For nature, we’d definitely hike Camelback Mountain or visit the Desert Botanical Garden to soak in the desert beauty.

When it comes to evenings, I love places that feel special without being about alcohol. Diego Pops is a favorite; their mocktails are just as creative as their margaritas, and the food is always a hit. We might also go to Citizen Public House or FnB both offer thoughtful non-alcoholic options so you can enjoy the vibe without the spirits. And to close the night, we’d walk along the Scottsdale Waterfront to take in the lights and energy of the city.

If we had a whole week, I’d make room for a spa day at the Sanctuary Camelback and a day trip to Sedona for the red rocks and vortex energy. Scottsdale has such a unique blend of creativity, wellness, and soul and that’s what I’d want them to feel during their visit.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost, I have to dedicate my shoutout to God. Every step of my journey has been guided by faith; any book, person, or opportunity that has impacted me was placed in my path because God allowed it. I believe He is the source, and everything else has simply been a vessel. I’m grateful for the people who showed up along the way, but I know they were all a part of His plan to shape me into who I am today.
