We had the good fortune of connecting with Tracy Miller and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tracy, what do you attribute your success to?
I think the most important thing for me has been consistency in my painting style and making sure that I continue to be active on my social media as well as keeping my website up to date. I have been so fortunate to have had some decent success in the art licensing field and continue to look for opportunities there.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What has set me apart for the last 12 years has been my colorful and bold style showcasing animals in art. I would say in some ways it was easy to get here as I always loved the business side of what I do and have worked hard at marketing my work and taking every opportunity that presented itself to me. One of the biggest lessons was to be open to saying YES to those opportunities because of the doors that they opened for me. I want the world to know that art can bring joy and a sense of happiness and peace into your home. I have many collectors who have told me how much the art create makes them smile.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’d tell them to head to the gallery that represents me, Cowbells, located in Cave Creek for a visit to see the store’s great collection of western art and decor. Not to mention it’s a cool place to explore. And if you’ve never been to a Nascar race, go! If the race is in town, it’s so exciting to watch in person. I just love the Frank Lloyd Wright designed hotel, The Arizona Biltmore. There is no detail left unfinished at this beautiful hotel. Perfect place to hang out for a cool drink.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First I’d like to thank my husband Roger, who has always supported my endeavors in wanting to be a full time artist. After that, Paul Zueger, owner of several art galleries who really showed me the business side of art and Shirin Asghari, who contacted me to publish my art with her company and gives me good direction with my art.
