We had the good fortune of connecting with TyLisa Booker and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi TyLisa, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I feel like it’s important to take risks. If you don’t take any risks especially when comes to your life/ career your going to regret it in the end. At times it’s the uncertainty that stops one from taking on risks, but I look at it like this: even if things don’t turn out how you imagined at least you took that chance.. grew from it and ultimately became more resilient.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My name is BigSis I am a female hiphop artist from Tucson, Az. I feel like, what sets me apart from others is my voice, my sound, and my ability to be versatile and relatable. I am most excited about what’s next to come. I made it this far by doing what I love and that is Creating and performing music that people can vibe and turn up to. I would say that reaching out and networking has put me in the position to do so. It wasn’t easy at first because I thought that all I had to do was put out music but no it’s more to it than that you definitely have to put in some serious time, effort, and dedication.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If we’re in Tucson the First stop would definitely be Eegee’s. Than maybe to a UofA game. Some shopping on University. Clubbing in downtown Tucson. And of course they gotta come see me in Action at Saltmine studios in Mesa Arizona.
