We had the good fortune of connecting with Urvashi (Oasee) Malhotra and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Urvashi (Oasee), what do you attribute your success to?
The driving force behind my success always has been a passion for healing that started when I was younger. I helped my mother find relief from arthritis through massage. This inspired me to have the dedication to help others through massage therapy where I value personalized care and use my specialized range of skill sets to improve each client’s overall well-being.

What should our readers know about your business?
I’ve always felt a calling toward healing. My journey began with a degree in Biology and continued through studies in naturopathic medicine and acupuncture, but I ultimately discovered that massage therapy allowed me to make the most immediate and meaningful impact in people’s lives.

In the early years, building my own practice required persistence while balancing work in other clinics and developing my own clientele. It wasn’t always easy, at one point while building my business my mother passed away, which was incredibly challenging. The fuel that kept me going was remembering how I had helped ease her pain through massage when I was younger and that strengthened my purpose and commitment to helping others. I’ve learned lessons that encouraged me to be consistent, persevere through all odds to see the end result and include self care for myself to be present for my clients. What sets me apart from others is my unwavering passion for my craft so I can give great quality massages to every client.

Today, I’m excited and proud to have Zen Touch Massage centered around creating a refined, restorative space where clients can relax, rejuvenate, and reconnect with their well-being. My long-term vision is to expand into a comprehensive wellness center that brings together massage, acupuncture, naturopathic medicine, chiropractic care, and other holistic therapies in one place.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take my best friend to one of the many resorts in Scottsdale such as the Princess or Phoenician where we would utilize the amenities and workout classes. We would stay there for a few nights. One of the days after we have a spa day at the resort we would go eat tacos at Diego Pops, followed by getting blowouts for our hair and makeup for our faces then go to a comedy show at Stand Up Live in Phoenix. Afterwards, we would have food and Cocktails at Bitter and Twisted.
On another day, we would start the day with a hike at Camelback Mountain, followed by brunch at the Montauk, going back to the resort to freshen up, then manicures and pedicures at NailHous. Afterwards, we would head to Old Town Scottsdale and go to the Allegra rooftop bar where we watch the sunset with a cocktail in hand and take memorable pictures. We would then eat at Uncle Sal’s my favorite Italian restaurant then go club hopping all over old town. One of the last days we would eat at Orange Sky Restaurant at Talking Stick Resort, go to a Pitbull concert, play at Top Golf, gamble and go to a local speakeasy in Scottsdale.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I dedicate this shoutout to the amazing massage school, Pima Medical, which taught me the invaluable skills I utilize today. Also, I’m grateful to my friends, boyfriend, and family that supported me through this ongoing journey. Of course last but not least, im blessed by my loyal clients who have been there with me and have bolstered my endeavor to help them with their needs for health, relaxation and pain relief.
