We had the good fortune of connecting with vlad shurigin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi vlad, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
I’m happy for every experience life brings me and try to maintain a positive outlook. I am blessed to do what I love every single day. I want to make others feel welcomed around me and empowered. I want to motivate people to be the best versions of themselves and show people that they can achieve anything they set their minds too.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am most proud of my new move to LA. This move has given me the opportunity to work with some amazing companies in the exotic supercar space along with many other ventures. I’m excited for the amazing content I will be creating here and the ability to do what I love and have creative freedom.

Getting to where I am today as a photographer was not easy. I spent years mastering my craft and to this day, 10 years later i’m still learning. I did countless free photoshoots just to get my name out there. I knew networking was very important so I focused a lot of my energy on meeting people. A Lot of times it’s not what you know it’s who you know. I understood this concept so I tried to meet as many new people as possible because you never know who might know someone or who might need a photographer one day.

I never gave up. Plenty of times I had people tell me my photos are terrible or im not good and I should stop. Well I never did. If I stopped I wouldn’t be where I am today. Instead I used that negativity as fuel to better myself and learn more. You can’t give up, and nothing worth having comes easy. You wont become amazing overnight, You have to trust the process and work hard everyday. Eventually you will be where you want to be.

I want people to know that I hustle everyday because I genuinely love taking pictures and seeing how they make people feel. I want to inspire others to be the best versions of themselves and know they can attract anything they desire. To never give up and overcome any obstacles.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them over to manhattan to get some Joe’s Pizza, Followed by a nice drive through the city showing them different landmarks and parks. Start down by the oculus and work our way up to Times Square. I would also take them to check out the vessel or even to central park. Maybe followed by a trip to williamsburg to croxley’s to get some amazing wings.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would really have to say my parents are my biggest supporters and motivators in everything that I do. They came ot this country with absolutely nothing and worked hard every single day to get to where they are today. Growing up I watched them struggle and overcome so many obstacles just to give me an opportunity in this country. They gave me an environment where I was comfortable and encouraged to chase my dreams. If it wasn’t for them pushing me to follow my heart and passion I wouldn’t be here today. Watching them really empowered me to want to hustle so that maybe one day I can repay them for their sacrifices.
