We had the good fortune of connecting with Zander Diamont and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Zander, what is the most important factor behind your success?
When I co-founded Minimal Living Concepts with my business partner, Jared Amzallag, our goal was to create world’s most seamless path to buying new construction online. Simple packages, transparent pricing and timeline, and a smooth customer experience.

Our backgrounds in luxury real estate and digital marketing helped us create minimallivingconcepts.com and develop our ADU (also called casitas or guest home) products. We offer four pre-designed units online, and once a customer purchases their guest home, we provide end to end service, handling the entire project from planning to completion. Our customers tell us they love working with us because of the experience. I attribute our success to the fact that we have the right people, the right process, and a minimal, modern product that is as beautiful as it is functional.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I don’t think any entrepreneur will ever tell you growing a business is an easy path. But it is without a doubt the most rewarding. I love working in an industry that involves creativity, problem-solving, and relationship-building. We get to work with our incredible customers to build an accessory dwelling unit on their property that provides an immediate enhancement to their lives, and in many cases, to the lives of their loved ones. Any challenges we face in the process of planning, permitting, and construction are worth the effort when we deliver the finished product. We have a couple who just finished building a guest home in their backyard for their 85-year-old dad. They call it their C.A.S.I.T.A. (Come All Strangers Into This Abode) and they are excited to have this family gathering space where generations can spend time together. Eventually, they plan to move into the guest home themselves, and welcome one of their children’s families to live in their primary residence.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We’ve had the best time exploring the Valley and finding our favorite spots since moving here three years ago. We love playing tennis at the Camelback Village, eating at Valentine, grabbing bagels at Bagelfeld’s, smoothies at Kaleidoscope, and coffee at the Global Ambassador Market café or LGO. It’s been fun discovering our favorite spots since moving to Arizona.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have to thank my family for their support and inspiration. Before starting Minimal Living Concepts, I worked with my mom Cindy Ambuehl, selling luxury Los Angeles real estate. She provided mentorship and encouragement that helped me excel. And when I decided to leave the family business and move to Arizona to create a business of my own, my parents were behind me one hundred percent. I also wouldn’t be where I am today without my wife Audrey, who has a successful career as a lifestyle digital creator and just gave birth to our first child this month!
