The idea behind and the niche of my business was an evolution process. I knew I wanted to support other women in their holistic health and well being. The name of my business, Divine Magic Healing came from the thought process of we all are divine beings created and put here on Earth with certain gifts and talents to be shown, expressed and shared with the world. Those gifts and talents that were given to us from the Divine, that is our “magic”, what we are good at, our strengths, and talents that comes to us naturally. I came up with the idea for my business slowly over the past decade of my life. It wasn’t an overnight decision. I’ve been an equestrian since I was young, with a background in competitive riding and horse training. I noticed that a lot of people give credit to their horse for bringing healing and grounding into their lives. I was curious to learn more about the “how and why” horses help people feel better. MAC & Company was founded from a shared passion for dance education and performance between Micaela Church and Li Pei Khoo in 2014. Li Pei and I had both recently graduated from ASU, where she received her BFA in Dance Education and I have received my MFA in Dance. We were both full time teaching dance (Li Pei at a high school, myself at a college) and we wanted to be able to work with other dance professionals and be able to create impactful work outside of the educational environment. Sunflower Soul Project was founded in the light of losing a sunflower soul, Delores Smith to domestic violence in December of 2021. It was about 5:30 a.m., cold, during the winter and I dropped off a friend at work. It was one of those mornings when I was crying hysterically and could not continue driving. Overwhelmed with grief, I pulled over and parked. After 5 minutes, I looked up and saw a sunflower mural which calmed me down. Read more>>
