Sebastian Vargas | Multi-Disciplinary Artist

It is hard to say why I decided to pursue a creative career in a logical or financial sense. If anything, it was an intuitive decision when I first felt that time was moving faster than usual in my adolescence. I knew I would need to narrow down on who I wanted to be in my life and it was not going to be anything I portrayed myself to be in my past life. Read more>>

Katie Hopp | Photographer and videographer

I pursued a creative career because it has been a big part of my life since I was a child. Creating home movies as a kid with friends and shooting with disposable cameras had led me to become a full time photographer/videographer. Christina Clark | Artist & Photographer

Making things has always been fun for me. Whether it’s painting, sewing, photographing, repurposing, etc. I’ve always enjoyed the process of creating. During the early days of the pandemic, I saw an ad from a lady who wanted a mural painted in her backyard. I jumped at the opportunity to both leave the house and be somewhere safe outdoors where I could paint. Completing the mural reminded me of how much fun I’d had painting in my youth. So I started offering similar services to my community and by June of 2020, I started Christina Clark Creates, LLC. Read more>>

Janie Murphy | Artist and Printed Textile Designer

This is a question that has been asked of me very recently, during my trip to visit relatives in Arizona and Utah. My mum was an antique dealer and we used to collect remnants from Jumble sales and house clearances. As a child I was surrounded by piles of textiles, old clothes and bric and brac. My idea of heaven! From the age of 14yrs I started earning my own money by selling vintage and antique textiles to friends, family and commercially. Read more>>

I pretty much had the desire to sing early on. Some of my earliest memories are of singing to my Disney records! Once I got older I started singing and acting in plays and that’s when I fell in love with performing. Ty Lavette | Musical Comedian

This question has a bit of a complicated answer. Initially, I grew up in the arts, doing music, dance, and theater. At 16, I graduated high school, and by the time I was 19 I had already graduated college and was working full-time in my associated career. It wasn’t long until I was bored of the routine, mundane, “adult” life I had unintentionally fallen into. By default, I was having a mid-life crisis before I was 20. It was around this time I started writing musical comedy in the style of multiple, personal inspirations such as; Adam Sandler, Stephen Lynch, Bo Burnham, Tim Minchin, and Garfunkel and Oats.
