We had the good fortune of connecting with Harsimar Sodhi and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Harsimar, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
It is simple… you just keep going always be consistent, because no matter how tough it gets, it is one step closer to your goal. You can take a break, catch your breath but then get ready to give it your 100% because end of the day it is that non breakable attitude that gets you through it.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Like every other Singh who wanted to become a model I followed the same footsteps, did my shoots for fun, nothing too serious but I was doing them almost every week until Covid happened. Then BOOM – Jack & Jones sent me an email for a collaboration during the pandemic and all of a sudden I realized this got serious and I become the first Singh on Jack & Jones.
But I have grown over the years and took different takes artistically when it comes to making content, video content, photoshoot, tiktoks and reels (getting my acting bug in too) I enjoy everything.
As for my challenges I just never gave up and never compared myself to anyone. I am in my own bubble, my own world. That is very important to understand otherwise a person can easily fall back and give up.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
As a typical guy who has no clue what he will be doing when he meets his friends this is probably not best question to ask me! Hahaha, but there are so many things I haven’t done or seen! So for me to do anything will practically be new.
Don’t get me wrong – done alot of things, fancy restaurants, coffee shops, bar hopping, typical Downtown Toronto day out. But maybe enjoy the basics for now because you forget to slow down and enjoy the little moments.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The biggest credit goes to God ofcourse, since if it wasn’t for him to show me the ability to recognize the opportunity I wouldn’t even be here.
But, The the credit also goes to everyone who supported me till date, it is because of them where I am and where I will be.
