We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexander Frekey and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alexander, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
I have a few habits that have helped create success over the past 7 years. First is communication and by communication I mean speaking with the audience on social media, responding to emails/direct messages personally and promptly. There is nothing better than as a consumer speaking directly with the owner of a business when you need something or have a question. Personally when I speak with an owner/CEO/President etc.. I feel important and I know the answer I’m getting is factual. Also getting back to people ins swift manner and promptly is so important to me because if I as a consumer want to purchase something that I am excited about and have a question before buying and it’s answered fast I will be that customer of that business forever, so I try my absolute best to maintain that same feeling here at PerformanceSupp.com. No customer is too little or too big for a conversation to help them in the right direction even if I don’t have what they need I will still give them the best advice to my expert knowledge. Second is being genuine. So many times I’ve met my customers outside of email/text/calls/etc and they say, “Wow Alex you are just like you are via email in person, no fluff or BS.” This is very important to me to build successful business around day in and day out.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
So in July/August 2022 Jamie and I decided to separate PerformanceSupp.com from Performance Supplements, LLC (the retail store) as mentioned prior. It was a lot of work personally and legally since we were going to start going through the process for SBA funding (Small Business Association) in order to grow the company in the direction we needed to. This was a very hard decision but something that needed to happen for future success. In the next few months we will be launching 3 flavors of the entire Performance Line and bringing out 4 Clinical based products that are for Heart/Cardiovascular health, Liver/Kidney, Cholesterol, and Digestion (Probiotics/Enzymes). We overcame the challenges of doing so by sticking together and facing things head on, yes some came with a cost which we weathered through but ultimately we had to get this accomplished to be taken seriously by a bank and the government agency (SBA). The biggest lessons learned in this is if you want to create a real business, apply for funding and grow you HAVE to have all your ducks in a row, documents in hand, and of course a very hefty credit score, unless you are already wealthy hahah which we are far from it.

What we want the world to know is this..Being a business owner doesn’t mean you are wealthy and for the most part the exact opposite actually. We put SOOOOO much time and money into growing the business we rarely keep any for anything, it’s all a reinvestment. Lastly for those out there that support businesses like mine (small businesses) know that every dollar you spend goes back into the business to keep in going and grow it internally. We will never falter from who we are and what we believe in because our beliefs and who we are is what got this off the grow and in the air.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We absolutely love Tempe area where we live and where the warehouse is, especially Tempe Market Place because our little guy loves he live music Friday and Saturday nights with his chocolate milkshake from ColdStone ahaha

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
It wouldn’t be a shoutout without starting with my wife Jamie Frekey. We decided to take PerformanceSupp.com and separate it from Performance Supplements, LLC in Mesa due to the work involved in the brand and website BUT I wouldn’t have done that if she hadn’t believed in me and pushed me daily to do so. She saw the amount of work I was doing every day and it was weighing on us as a family and she knew change needed to occur. Next up of course my family and extended family. My mother and father Ron & Linda Frekey as well as my Sister and Brother-in-Law Corinne and Jason Mina who have always encouraged me to be my best and keep spreading PerformanceSupp.com t everyone back in PA. My mother/Father-in-law Tammy and Mark Ballew who are insanely supportive of Jamie and I to do our best in life and as parents, they are truly a blessing! Last but not least the amount of people all across the country who send me messages that they love my products and won’t workout without them has been incredible! Thank you all!
