We had the good fortune of connecting with Tony Baril and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tony, why did you pursue a creative career?
My parents have always been photography hobbyists, and I decided to try and learn from them. I ended up quickly learning and teaching them new things while I continue to grow my knowledge and talent with photography.

What should our readers know about your business?
I do this job as a passion, and not a way to get money. What that means is I don’t really set myself a time limit, and will ensure I can do whatever I can do to help someone’s special day be the best day that can be memorable forever. I want to be apart of the convo 5 years down the road where they start talking about how great their wedding was. I will often stay later if needed, dance with the couple and their family, and help others out with stuff if I have time at a wedding. Moving chairs, small decor, helping tie ties, etc.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Phoenix is awesome because there is so much awesome culture up here, especially since we are one of the top 10 biggest cities in the US. I would show someone all the cool dive bars and speakeasy’s in the phx area, as well as some of my favorite restaurants here. I would then take them up north to show them Sedona, Jerome, the Grand Canyon, Canyon De Chelly, Horseshoe Bend, and Antelope Canyon. On our way back, we would stop in Flagstaff and explore the area there with some of the awesome food spots in downtown.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I was inspired by a few different people to continue with my photo/video passion. Ansel Adams, Rodney Lough Jr, and Peter Lik are my favorite landscape photographers because they combine two of my favorite things: photography and traveling. I have been to several places that they have and recreated their photos which of course isn’t nearly close to as good as theirs.
