We had the good fortune of connecting with Stacy Wren and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stacy, what are you inspired by?
Inspiration fills me when I help curious travelers explore the world with once in a lifetime experiences. Connecting with wildlife, exploring the culture and cuisine of remote regions, and filling vacations with excursions that stay in your memory are all stories I hear from returning travelers.

How lucky am I to be the curator and collaborator who helps travelers that want to experience the destination and not just visit them?? I’m inspired by the memories created from traveling.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I spent 19 years working in Hospitality on the Las Vegas Strip, in various Mega Resorts i.e. The Venetian and Palazzo, Caesars Palace Las Vegas, Cromwell Las Vegas, Treasure Island and Park MGM Las Vegas.

Holding roles in Hotel Management, Concierge Management, Food and Beverage, Room Service, Mini Bar and as a Restaurant GM. I was responsible for guiding hundreds of employees in high pressure, high dollar and Forbes Rated operations.

Understanding the Hospitality Industry helps me guide travelers in making the best decisions for their trip, both for them and for the property/vendors they are traveling with. I know what works and what doesn’t!

During COVID I decided to really explore the Travel Industry and put my Hospitality knowledge to use.

In 2022 I opened Global Vacation Pro, all on my own, with no clients. Understanding how travel works was half the battle. The next lessons were advertising, marketing, accounting and ensuring every detail of a vacation was perfect. Juggling every aspect of my business is worth it, as I’m able to travel the world in the name of “research” for my clients.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
One of my favorite destination to curate vacations in is Alaska, both in the winter and the summer.

In the summer, Southeast Alaska is filled with the gems of the Last Frontier, the whales come up from Hawaii to feast, the salmon are spawning, the bears are scouring the rivers to snatch them up, the Native American culture is rich and diverse. You can fish for Halibut and then cook up the best Halibut sandwich of your life. Landing on a glacier in a helicopter? No Problem!!

In the winter, WOW! A trip of a lifetime awaits you in the interior and Northern Alaska. Ice fishing for King Salmon, Snow Machining over miles and miles of untouched wilderness surrounding by Alaskan Wildlife, walking across the Arctic Circle where only 1% of the worlds population has been – are you ready for an experience not just a vacation??

Don’t forget – in Alaska vacation calories don’t count! Be prepared to taste the foods or Alaska which you can’t find anywhere else!!

Rena McDonald at Eclipse Law Group is a true source of inspiration. As an Estate Planning Attorney, Rena helps families set up their lives…so that when unfortuante events happen their money and “stuff,” is taken care of and passed to the people it’s meant for, not the court system!! Rena has amazing bedside manor, she understand how difficult conversations about money, wills, trusts, and assets can be, and provides gentle but knowledgeable support.

Rena is also an accomplished author, with her book Because I Care. Because I Care helps people write down all the little details of their lives and their valuable memories, to provide a roadmap for their family members.

And lastly, Rena is a huge philanthropist in the community, helping women coming from domestic violence, Boy Scouts, and being a supporter of Women Entrepreneurship in the community.
