Hi Daja, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success is the trust of my amazing clients. As an accountant and finance professional, I truly take on one of the most vulnerable topics in peoples lives, their money. So it is such a privilege to have them trust the process of helping them identify a health relationship with their taxes and finances so that they can be stress free.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Daja is dedicated to helping small businesses thrive by offering strategic financial insights that support their long-term growth and sustainability. Her firm is known for empowering business owners to make confident, informed decisions as they focus on Taxes, Bookkeeping,I Insurance, and Investments.

Beyond her work at FTG , Daja plays a key role as Secretary of the Black Chamber of Arizona, where she contributes to initiatives that provide business leaders with resources and networking opportunities that fuel success. ✨

Daja’s finance career, spanning over 10 years. She began her firm at 23 after working for a big 4 accounting firm. Now, Finance Therapy Group serves hundreds of clients annually. With a focus on promoting clarity, Daja’s hands-on approach allows business owners to understand the financial health of their companies and achieve their goals with confidence.

Daja’s ability to lead with both expertise and empathy sets her apart. She’s not just focused on numbers—she’s deeply invested in the people behind the businesses, helping them unlock their full potential.

Her passion for financial education and strategic guidance is evident in every workshop and engagement, where she breaks down complex financial concepts into actionable steps that resonate with her audience.

While it has not been easy running her own firm, one of Daja’s greatest lessons is to truly produce your best work so your reputation can precede you in the most positive way.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I am a Day Spa connoisseur and would take them to an amazing spa here. Ocean 44 is one of my newest favorite restaurants and I would highly recommend the rack of lamb. I love to laugh so a comedy show at stand up live would be the greatest ending to an amazing night.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Being apart of the Black Chamber of Arizona has truly allowed for me to thrive as a financial educator among small business owners. It has been wonderful serving on the board and understanding the needs of the business owners in our communities right here in the valley. The leadership of President, Dr. Velma Trayham has made business sustainability accessible for minority business owners and the work that she is doing to improve the economic status of African Americans across the valley is tremendous and my business is a vital example of the work she has done.
