Meet Michele Fort | CEO of Holy Hands Painters LLC

We had the good fortune of connecting with Michele Fort and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Michele, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
In a nutshell, I went from homelessness to entrepreneurship in a blink of an eye.
I initially had no understanding of what GOD was doing in my life until one day—I received a vision and a plan. All orchestrated by him…
My thought process behind starting my own business stemmed from a passion for creativity and a desire for independence. I envisioned using my “holy hands” to bless others—sharing a talent divinely passed to me through my husband and from the Creator, who is the anchor of my life.
Recognizing a gap in the market for high-quality wall coverings and painting services inspired me to turn my skills into a popping business. I wanted to offer unique and personalized solutions from my heart to clients’ homes or offices, enhancing their living spaces while creating a brand that embodies my values of quality, craftsmanship, and client satisfaction.
The flexibility of being a visionary and the Founder of Holy Hands Painters ™️ also appealed to me, enabling me to set my own schedule and make decisions that align with my vision. Ultimately, starting my business allows me to pursue my passion and positively impact my community through beautiful and transformative painting projects. “Let us bless your walls with our holy hands”!!!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

Getting to where I am today was not easy. The journey involved overcoming significant obstacles, including financial limitations and self-doubt. Through hard work, dedication, and the unwavering support of my family and community, I have built a brand that reflects my passion for quality and clients satisfaction.
The lessons I’ve learned include the importance of resilience, the power of communication, and the value of building relationships. The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my “HusbandMan” and my children, who have been my unwavering support and mentors throughout my journey. His love and encouragement have been instrumental in helping me navigate the challenges of starting my business. His belief in my abilities has inspired me to pursue my passion and turn my vision into reality.
I also want to acknowledge the community organizations like ASU Edson Entrepreneur Program, Capital Readiness Program, Hispanic Chamber, Local First (We Rise Program) and the See Me Program (ARG) that supported me during my transition from homelessness to entrepreneurship, providing resources and guidance that empowered me to take that crucial leap. Their belief in individuals like me illustrates the power of community and the importance of lifting each other up.
Lastly, I’d like to credit the inspirational books and resources that have fueled my growth and creativity, highlighting the incredible impact of mentorship in our lives. Each of these elements has played a vital role in my success, and I am deeply grateful for their presence in my story.
