Meet Mattisyn Brown: COZYS Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Mattisyn Brown and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mattisyn, what do you attribute your success to?
At COZYS, we believe the most important factor behind our success is our thousands of customers who support us and keep us going. They are the reason we are here today!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My main thing I tell others – Never give up. There were times where I wanted to quit, and am so grateful that I didn’t. I have been able to move COZYS out of our home, into a warehouse, and have the best employees to keep COZYS going.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We live in Gilbert, but always end up in Scottsdale. They have the best restaurants and shopping. Some of my favorite places to eat are – Olive + Ivy, Ocean 44, La Grande Orange. Can’t forget Scottsdale Mall, and Scottsdale Quarter for the best shopping. One of our favorite places to stay is the Phoenician and do their afternoon tea. It’s a tradition!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My mother in law Mysti is the whole reason I came up with this idea. I worked daily as a dental assistant, and needed extra money for the cost of IVF to start our family. Mysti had given these blankets as gifts to family members and I thought these would be the perfect way to make a little extra. I made over 80 blankets for my first little boutique and sold out in the first day. Little did I know how far we would come in 5 years!
