Meet Mark Jordan | Artist, DJ and Film

We had the good fortune of connecting with Mark Jordan and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mark, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
At times in my life I feel like giving up on my dreams. In side I feel that I’m wasting time in what I love to do because of the many ups and downs I face with some people that don’t see the same vision I do. What keeps me going is some people I meet in this journey that has touched me in my heart and belive in me. Their are two people that come to my mind, one is Auther Mya Brooks. She passed away in January of this year, she was the one that blessed me with this opportunity to be apart of Voyage Phoenix Magazine to tell my story and she always called me to inspire me to keep going. The other person is a good friend of mine that has passed on Blackman Clay. An amazing man that has always been there for me mentally and spiritually through his teachings of the Seven Principles Of Life, #1-Do #2 Be #3 Exist #4 Cope #5 Truth #6 Love #7 Communication. So when I have doubt in my mind and heart to give up I think back to some of the good people that has touched me to keep going. We only have one life to live , so make the best of what gifts God has blessed us with to persue all goals and dreams. Things will never be easy in life and we have to keep on keepin on to make the best of what we have.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
The road is never easy to get to where you want to in life. To overcome my challenges in life I had to let go of some people that were negitive in my life to let the good people in. I have learned not to trust every one that I come in contact with if they lie about things. I do everything from my heart not asking for anything in return , I know God will bless me with the right people to move foward in my journey.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take my friend to Mt. Lemon since he has never been to AZ. I enjoy the mountian veiw in AZ, ans we would also BBQ aswell as hangout to catch up with eachothers life, I feel that’s important to me in life is to enjoy good company while were here in this world.
