Meet Lauren Paez | Artist, Reiki and Energy Healing Master

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lauren Paez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lauren, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
There are so many vital factors that have all played roles in the success of Lala Lotus Co. The first I would say is my open-mindedness to learning new things. This essentially is what started Lala Lotus Co. I learned how to make jewelry, I was trained in energy healing and reiki, and I am proud to share that I have officially made the Dean’s list at the University of Phoenix, where I will be graduating soon with a business degree. Knowledge is priceless. I always try to learn something new every day. I have learned new and valuable things from the most unexpected sources, but the information has helped and inspired me tremendously. Running a business can be a lot, however, I wouldn’t have it any other way. I love what I do, the highlight of my career is to see how my work affects others. My whole mission is to create more peace and healing in a world that so badly needs it. It is hard work, but I love being able to share my knowledge about crystals and energy with people. I hope one day to have my own center for healing. Energy work takes time, dedication, constancy, and constant learning but it is something that helped me when nothing else did. This encouraged me to follow the path of a healer and with my knowledge and experience, I hope to give back to our community in the best way I know-how.

Another key to success is support and gratitude. Fortunately, I have an amazing, loving support system and I am so incredibly grateful for them. Through the ups and downs they have been there for all of it and that is something I will always cherish. There are so many things both big and small that mean so much to business owners. It can be something as small as a like or comment on social media. Or it can be something like an amazing review that confirms that we are on the right path. When you support a small business you support our dreams. Reach for the stars but always be humble and grateful for what you have. There are many blessings to be found.

The final key to my success is I never gave up, I didn’t stop until I was proud of my accomplishments. I kept going, because I knew someone out there was watching my success. Life is full of energy, positive, negative, and everything in between. It is a balance, in order to have the good, often we have to experience the opposite. Mindset is everything. Life is messy and has definitely given me my fair share of trials and I expect there is more to come, that’s just life. But what’s important is your thoughts, emotions, actions, and overall energy during these moments. Even though sometimes it feels like things may never get easier or change, just know one day they will. Instead of dwelling on the negative, find at least 1 positive in the situation. Something that helps me during hard times is to find 3 things I am grateful for in that moment. This helps me stay in a positive, calm headspace.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
There’s a lot that makes Lala Lotus Co. unique. We are a local business, all of our art, jewelry, and home decor are handmade by local Arizona artisans. Through my journey, I have been professionally trained in the mastery of energy healing and reiki. I am very proud to say that I reiki infuse positive energy into all of our stone and crystal products. Reiki is an ancient Japanese energy healing technique and it can be used in many different ways. For instance, Reiki can be used for energy rebalancing, stress reduction, and it promotes healing. This can even be applied via distance healings. Reiki can also be applied to pets and objects such as homes, and cars. I have discovered that crystals are often very healing and go hand in hand with reiki and energy healing. I got to where I am today by being open-minded to learning new things. This journey has been an exciting one. However, I wouldn’t say that it’s been easy. Learning how to properly run a business at 16 has been a constant learning curve and there’s always something to do. The best advice I could give to anyone is to continue working until you are proud. That is how I have overcome many of my challenges. If I’m not happy with the results, I’ll keep trying until I am happy with the results. I set goals both big and small and I am always thrilled to accomplish them. Those goals often give me the energy and motivation to expand and improve my business. With the right mindset, anything is possible. Even if it feels like the energy is overwhelming or stagnant it is vital to remain in a good headspace and protect your energy. One of the first things I learned was to protect my energy. I am an empath, meaning I can feel energy and emotions. This can often be intense, especially for empaths who aren’t properly grounding or protecting their energies. This was the inspiration behind one of my best sellers, The Empath Necklace. The stones all help to heal, ground, calm, and open the third eye chakra. I have received feedback on multiple occasions from customers who say they feel overall calmer and at peace when wearing this reikied necklace. Some crystals that are great protection and grounding energy are Hematite, Black Tourmaline, and Smoky Quartz.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love Arizona, there’s really no place quite like it. Moving to Phoenix changed my life and opened many unexpected doors for me. One of my favorite restaurants is Veggie Village. The atmosphere and food are incredible. They even have gluten-free and vegan options. Old town is one of the first places I ever went to in Scottsdale and I still love it to this day. They have many amazing shops and restaurants. If you like shopping it’s a great place to walk around and relax while also being able to get a bite to eat. Some of my favorite local boutiques are Old Town Gypsy and Carmen. If the weather is nice like it usually is in Phoenix I love to go on nature walks and hikes. One of my all-time favorite hidden gems is the Barrier Free nature trail. It doesn’t look like much when you pull up, but as you start walking you quickly realize there are a variety of trails to choose from. Overall it is a very peaceful location. The Barrier-Free Nature Trail protects local wildlife and educates people about the different local plants and animal species found throughout the area. My favorite part about The Barrier-Free Nature Trail is the pond surrounded by a beautiful canopy of trees. Often this is where I go to clear my head.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are so many wonderful souls who have helped me get to where I am today, I love and appreciate every one of them. They support my dreams, goals, and ambitions. Thank you so much to my family, friends, and loved ones. I am so honored and grateful to have your support. I would like to dedicate this shout-out to my new small business friend Savanna, who owns Glamour Witch Boutique. Savanna’s passion and drive inspire me and we often motivate each other. We had our first giveaway this year, and I hope we will have more in the future. Together thanks to Forever Loved Pet Sanctuary we collaborated and shared a booth for our first-ever farmer’s market. The experience was wonderful, our booth was beautiful, Angela kept in contact with us and answered any questions. We had a great turnout, met our goals, and helped raise money for senior dogs. Additionally, I would love to shout out my favorite hair stylist Melissa, you can find her at the Green Spot. She has worked miracles on my hair and I have seen her make an inspiring difference in many lives. She has been a huge supporter since I started Lala Lotus Co. Finally, Lauren Lovejoy, the founder of Lyme Warrior has been a true inspiration to me. She helps to educate and spread awareness about Lyme disease, raise money for patients who need treatment, and uplifts the whole community. She is always there and always shares her light and love. Her dedication, drive, and passion to create a world with healing and peace for Lyme patients are incredible. Seeing all of these beautiful souls work so hard to make a difference, a change for good inspires me to work hard and do my best to do the same. I would love to acknowledge my energy healing master Alex Hermissillo and transformational reiki master Olivia Haliday as well. Both of them have taught me so much on my soul journey and I am forever grateful to have learned so much from them both. I will never forget my time training with both of them, it was life-changing and helped me blossom into the woman I am today.
