We had the good fortune of connecting with Gabriel Cordero and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gabriel, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Risk taking is something I had to to learn pretty early in the start of my career , growing my brand required me to take a lot of risk and be okay with the fact that not everyone will accept what you do. I had to take a major risk moving to Arizona and having to rebuild my brand awareness in a brand new city. The journey moving from New Jersey to pursue music and videography full-time is an on going process but it definitely is rewarding.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Over the past couple years i’ve decidated a lot of my time into shaping the image of what i always saw myself as and thats bringing people together for music and dancing.

Fontay Montana (DJ name) is a sub-image of what i represent , it stands for freedom, equailty, and most importantly respect.

I was able to see much successful from just putting myself out there and not being afraid of rejection . You see a lot of rejecting from people who sometimes don’t want to see you succeed. A great friend once taught me “show love , get love” it’s a great motto to live by !

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Sunbar in Tempe Arizona if you want to catch a show on the weekends and if your looking for food you can’t go wrong with my favorite Mexican spot “Tacos Huicho”.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a huge shoutout to one of my closest friends growing up back home , who really inspired me to start promoting and doing videography more serious , SCVNO believed in me and has presented me with countless opportunities to showcase my skills with the camera , from media access to the biggest venues in New York and festivals.
