We had the good fortune of connecting with Chachii and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chachii, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Naturally, I’m an artistic person so being a part of the nail community was an almost no brainer for me. I’ve always done my own nails and used to draw for fun as a child. Creativity is a form of expression and it’s also how I keep my brands reputation. I enjoy fun, over the top nail art. Being an artist never gets boring. Everything inspires me! Colors, fashion prints, you name it. Over time I’ve developed my own style of nail art that (I think) has helped me to stand out in such an over saturated market. Yes it’s fun to follow trends but I always like to add my own flare to my designs.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
When I first started my business two years ago I had no idea what I was doing lol. One of my biggest challenges was cost issues. I was undercharging my products and losing out in profits. I had to learn how to use excel to properly price my press on sets so that I’m actually making a profit while also still offering my products at a cheaper price than other competitors. Now that I’ve been in the game for a while I know what needs to be done. it’s definitely not easy, of course there are still minor challenges but it’s never anything I can’t handle. To be honest I’m not even where I want to be yet. I still have a lot of work to do!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Good thing my best friend doesn’t have a shellfish allergy because visiting Charleston, SC means seafood! Shrimp and grits, red rice, and stew chicken are a few of my personal favorite dishes here in the low country.

Of course you also can’t visit here without heading to Folly Beach or Isle of Palms. Shem Creek is a great place to grab a bite to eat after a long day at the beach. There’s even places to have Brunch!

Other fun activities to do here are shopping at the Tanger outlet, car/boat shows, and grits festivals. Yes, grits!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I absolutely would not be where I am today without my customers! I’ve met so many amazing and inspiring women (and men) all over the U.S.

Having a relationship with my clients is so important because it really goes BEYOND just nails. Although I sell a product and not a physical service my customers reach out to me via DM or Email and I’m always happy to talk to them and build that relationship.

When you treat your clients right they do the advertising for you. I’ve been able to grow my business so much simply just by word of mouth.
