Meet Connor M. Rosenbaum | Vice President of Arizona State Men’s Soccer Club

We had the good fortune of connecting with Connor M. Rosenbaum and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Connor M., is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor to our success has been creating a hard working and positive atmosphere at practice where each and every player are encouraged to improve their skills. As a result, tough opposition become less daunting and the confidence in our team’s abilities increases. Important games are won with the extraordinary effort given behind the scenes.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets our club apart from other men’s soccer clubs at different universities is we hold our team to a high standard both on and off the pitch. On the pitch, we are able to compete in an high-intensity match with extremely tough opponents and come out on top. Off the pitch, we participate in various volunteer opportunities and setup numerous player bonding activities. However, none of this is possible without the organization and thoughtfulness of the club higher ups. On our own, these tedious tasks could not be completed. Therefore, we split the jobs among us to optimize time and money. Everything is still a learning process, but we believe we are preparing the team for a spectacular season not just this year but also five years from now.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
There are many hit spots in and around Tempe that would make anyone’s visit worthwhile. If the team were in charge of preparing an itinerary, I am sure they would suggest a light breakfast from Dutch Bros in the morning, Raising Cane’s for lunch and Korean BBQ for dinner. Though, I would not doubt if some of the players on the team would prefer to have Canes for all three meals. To burn those calories, a fun and quick hike for any hiker would be the ‘A’ mountain next to the ASU campus. Reaching the peak allows for an amazing scenic view over the campus and Tempe town lake. In the evening, the Sun Devil Fitness Center (SDFC) fields are open for recreational use where a large group of ASU students play pickup soccer for fun! For those more intrigued in the party scene, Mill Avenue has many clubs, bars, and restaurants that become the go-to spot on the weekends.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
