We had the good fortune of connecting with Alyssa Ainna and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alyssa, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
I believe the main habit that helped me succeed is visualization. I grew up an only child, all I did was daydream; I think ‘visualization’ is what we call that now as adults. For example, If I wanted a toy, I’d envision myself playing with that toy and how life would be with it. This habit of dreaming of what I want, I would do that every night before bed as my meditation. If I had a goal, daydreaming about it would help me identify what I needed to do in real life to attain that.

Sometimes that would lead into obsessions, but good ones! Such as, my permanent jewelry business. I knew what to work for if I kept dreaming about it as if it were real. I believe that habit has really kept me going when times are hard as well. Remind yourself of what the future could look like by visualizing it and believing in it.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I build custom jewelry, 14k gold and 925 silver, and hand-weld these on our clients live. Because it is welded on, this is what makes it ‘permanent jewelry’.
Professionally, I am an analyst for a semiconductor company, but jewelry making was always the side hobby. I had etsy shops before Alinx Jewelry, that sold jewelry with clasps, but closed them during covid.

It wasn’t easy opening, the biggest challenge was working a full time job and trying to start up a business after work. Lessons I’ve learned is nothing works out if you don’t believe in it. If you don’t believe in something, you give up much quicker.

I want the world to know we’re Arizona’s original permanent jeweler. This is a craft we respect and is a passion of mine before it was a business. Other companies out there don’t put in the love we do. Every linx is tested by us and our loved ones. and each client becomes a friend.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Eat: Buck and Rider – get the Ribeye or the NY stip + OYSTERS. Stay: Hilton downtown so you can walk to the bars, but they have great weeknight deals
Hang out: Social Hall, Tempe – great food, enough billards tables, other games, and great drinks!
