We had the good fortune of connecting with Noel Duarte and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Noel, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I feel like risks define you as a person. Life’s all about progressing, failing, pursuing things etc.. You won’t grow as person if you don’t take a leap of faith, you can say at least you tried, and if it don’t work try again. I, as a videographer I took a risk, left my 9-5 Job working in agricultural field work to purse a dream as a videographer, and so far it’s working. I used to do free videos for local people, local artists. Reason why? Is because I was perfecting my craft, getting the experience – i literally had done 150 videos before I got my first pay check as a videographer.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
First off, I’m super passionate into what I do, what sets me apart? I feel like personality is a big thing. You can be a dope videographer or creative but if the vibe ain’t right no ones going to really want to work with you. So I do my best to be as professional as possible with clients, I like to envision what the client is asking for, and execute and make it into a reality.

Everything takes time, hustle, and networking. Some people aren’t social, or are too afraid to get out of their comfort zone. Being a creative / influencer requires you to network among others, you can’t be on the shy end.

It’s not easy being a creative / influencer it takes alot of your social & personal time to film & edit videos. Everybody wants to be a Youtuber, videographer or even a rapper until you have to put in the work. You just got to stay focused and keep building, mastering your craft. A key thing is being consistent.

Lessons I learned along the way? “Less is more”, don’t over work yourself. Sometimes as creatives we want the perfect videos, and sometimes the best work comes being simple / organically. Always be a “student of the game”, that’s another lesson I learned. It’s never too late to keep learning whether you learn from others or even YouTube. I love learning from other creatives / influencers, from their point of views to how they artistically create, to how they network , and advice is always something I always ask.

What do I want the world to know about me? Hmmm.

Anything is possible if you put your mind to it. I come from a small rural town (Huron, CA) 45 minutes Away from Fresno, CA. I been blessed to have worked with many people whether it was a big artist to businesses to local artists, small / big venues. I experienced things that I have never imagined. I’m truly blessed for the support system I have.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We’ll Im traveling / foodie fanatic but I’m also a simple guy I can’t say that I have a favorite spot to visit… If I’m out in Los Angeles or in fresno some of the things I like doing is bowling, shooting pool or having a beer at the bar. See Super simple. I’m also perfectly happy eating tacos, and trying new food trucks. But I can also be Boujie and go to fancy expensive restaurants getting a lobster or teppanyaki. I’m sorry I’m all over the place, but yeah it’s Interesting fun time with me. It’s a whole vibe.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
