We had the good fortune of connecting with Sabrina Gomez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sabrina, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Absolutely everything! If you’re not risking, then you’re not living. It’s as simple as that. If you don’t take risks in life, then you won’t know what you’re capable of. When I started my business I had to make this same choice. Was I going to let fear and self doubt dictate my life once again or was I just going to jump all in. It hasn’t been an easy process because I’ve had to step out of my comfort zone several times, but I would do it again in a heartbeat. I’ve learned how far I can take my business when I let go of my fears. Because trust me, success is on the other side of your comfort zone.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

About my business: By Bella Boutique hand makes the most comfortable bows for little girls. We discovered a special buttery soft fabric, which has been the secret to our success. No other company uses our fabric!A fabric so soft that little girls won’t even feel they have something on their head. Mom’s don’t have to worry anymore about their little girl ripping off their headband at any given chance. And they can finally say goodbye to compression marks on their little one’s head. We believe moms should only be focusing on how cute their little one looks! Our bows are simple to put on and guaranteed to elevate your little girl’s every day outfit. By Bella Boutique also designs their own fabric in-house because we believe our bows should be as unique as your little one.

What sets me apart from the rest? My drive and my no quitter, go getter attitude.

I spent my 20’s as a young single mom hustling to make ends meet in the corporate world before pivoting into entrepreneurship. I never had the chance to pursue my dreams of creating a brand because I had to go to work school full-time to provide for my daughter, an entire family to prove wrong, graduate college and just work tremendously hard to be the best mom I could be for my daughter Bella.

Fast forward 14 years later and with two more kids in the mix, my opportunity finally came to pursue my lifelong dream of creating a brand during the COVID-19 pandemic. I worked on my business plan while having my 6 month old strapped to my hip at all times, strategically worked around my pumping schedule and dealt with postpartum depression. Obstacles have been present since day one, but I wholeheartedly believe that having a positive mindset is key to succeeding in anything in life. “If you think you can, you can. If you think you can’t, you’re right. It’s up to you to make it happen! You just have to believe in yourself!”

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give a shoutout to my three kids Isabella (Bella), David and Hadassah. They are my motivation. And my husband, Jhonatan who has been my biggest supporter since day one!
