Meet Selena Wolff | Dental Assistant & Tucson South Wiki-licious owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Selena Wolff and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Selena, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
To be honest I think it was a crazy decision to start my own business as my life was already super busy. As a full-time working parent to 3 kids, I wasn’t sure I could honestly handle it. In addition to working full time, being a parent, and attending GCU online my husband encouraged me to take the leap of faith and start Wiki-Licious Tucson South. The process was a difficult one as there is so much that goes into starting a business. But, ultimately showing my children that sky is not the limit and anything you put your mind to can be accomplished has helped push me to make this a successful venture.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Wiki-Licious is a franchise based out of Anchorage Alaska. While living in Alaska while my husband was assigned there due to the military we quickly fell in love with their delicious Malasadas. Fast forward a few years and we moved to Tucson, right after arriving here we found an opportunity to be a part of this amazing company by owning our own franchise. I spoke with the main ladies that started this amazing company and it took off from there.
Bringing Malasadas (Hawaiian Donuts) to Tucson has been such a fun experience I have met so many amazing people in my short time doing this. Since there is not any smaller scale donut places near the Vail area I’m excited to be the one bringing this to our community.
I’m grateful to be on this journey and could not have done it without the support and guidance from friends, family, and franchise.
I have learned so much about myself and how much drive I have to continuously build my business.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love love love Tucson! This is the second time we have lived here. I was so sad we had to move the first time, because of the amazing community my husband and I created around us. When we got the news, we were heading back to Tucson I was so excited!! My family loves going to the parks around Tucson, the Reid Park Zoo and the beautiful trails here in Tucson are amazing! We only go out when it’s cool though to hot some times.
Food wise we love Sonoran dogs & Tacos; I live out in Corona De Tucson and I feel we have the best mom and pop restaurants out here. I always take friends and family to try these places when they come me visit.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My husband has been so amazing through this whole process. We have been together for 13 years. He’s my #1 supporter, hype man and best friend. My babies have also been so supportive helping mom out where they can or giving me endless hugs when needed. Also shout-out to my family and all the Wiki-Licious franchisees who are on this journey with me. I would not be as successful doing half the stuff I do without the support by endless texts, zoom calls and phone calls (even sometimes late night). This is a community designed for endless growth and I am excited to be a part of it.
