We had the good fortune of connecting with Noah Landis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Noah, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I’ve always been an avid art collector and have kept my home filled with interesting pieces that garnered visitors’ attention and compliments. With the art industry being a confusing place for new artists to maneuver, I saw an opportunity to create a new exciting space in Phoenix where the public would be drawn to engage more in the local art community while providing opportunities for more local designers to showcase their work.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Initially, I didn’t start with the intention to pursue a career in art. It started when I began styling my living and work spaces with my own art and interior decor pieces, and to my surprise, many people began insisting on buying my designs. I made my designs simply to be something that I wanted to see in my own home, and couldn’t be found anywhere else. I opened my first gallery at the Desert Sun Plaza in the summer of 2020, and six months later I relocated my gallery to a larger space to accommodate the quickly growing business. Now my space is a place for fostering a community of creatives in Phoenix and beyond. I want to give back, by offering my own experience in business and providing opportunities for exposure to designers that are new to the art world. Having a foundation in the basics of art is important, but there is no right or wrong way to do it. When you look outside of the box, the possibilities are endless.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
For anybody that is new to Arizona, I would definitely recommend an adventure to Sedona. It’s best to travel there at night so that when you wake up in the daylight, seeing all the beautiful scenery all at once will be so awe-inspiring, that you will feel like you woke up on another planet. Another essential spot to visit is the top of South Mountain, where you get the best views of the entire city of Phoenix and all the amazing mountains surrounding it.
