We had the good fortune of connecting with Jake French and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jake, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I think I could speak for a lot of creatives by saying it’s this deep rooted passion that overtakes your whole being when you’re in the “zone”. A lot of people will hear “there isn’t much money in the arts”, but that’s not what the motivating factor is. The passion that comes out when you give yourself enough time to create…It feels like that’s what you’re meant to do. Following that passion is just the natural progression we all go thru if we hold that trait.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
We are an Alternative Rock/Emo style rock band with a taste for some progressive instrumental touches. While we are not the most known band on the planet, we have been announced and playing music since June of 2022, Our lessons throughout this year starts with the need for constant attention and work done on the backend. Our group and its successes wouldn’t be half of what it was if we didn’t have a good team working to make this stuff happen. To the whole band, and the initial start up supporters we have, you all make this worth doing.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Where we live, it’s always a good time going to the Stone Church in Newmarket NH, lots of local shows and events go on, also has a great bar with some amazing food options. As for things to do, we’re near the seacoast, and going to the beach is always worth while, weather summer or winter. For the more active people, there is a great indoor skatepark in Rochester NH we partner up with to host a few shows a year.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to give a shoutout to every band, concert goer, or musician all of us have worked with to give us a fair chance at being musicians. There wouldn’t be an industry without the full gambit of both local bands and major headliners, producers, venues, or fans. Everyone deserves a little credit so that they know their efforts are noticed and appreciated.
