Meet Caitlin Walters | Makeup Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Caitlin Walters and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Caitlin, what’s your definition for success?
Success to me is when I have created a life that I don’t need to run away from. Empowering others while supporting my family and getting to be my creative self

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a makeup artist that specializes in bridal and boudoir looks. I also have introduced different series that are promotions for the LGBTQ community events which have given me the opportunity to explore my creative thinking.
I started doing makeup for friends in high school just for fun. I’d help people get ready for prom or date nights. Then after high school, and becoming a mom, I started selling cosmetics for a direct sales company. I was told from the start you have to learn to apply the product to be able to sell it so I did what any entrepreneur would do and started researching. Once doing that and applying more I fell in love with the art and decided that I wanted to make that passion my career. At the start of 2020 I started taking classes for certifications and hosting model calls to practice what I had learned. Fast forward three years to now and I now have worked at the Miss Arizona pageant, have booked over 20 brides and have started branching out to other cities to get my brand known across the state.
My business is one that supports the idea of empowering and acknowledging self worth. We sponsor many events supporting our local first responders, LQBTQ community events, as well as events for domestic violence victims and single mothers.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend came to visit we would most definitely be making a drive down to Bisbee. We love the light airy feel in the air. We would walk the main road in Old Bisbee and explore the Antique shops. Maybe grab a coffee from the Brewing company and a croissant or dessert from the cute French bakery they have down there. We would enjoy a live band or singer and maybe grab some tacos from La Cantesas and some margaritas. And end the day with an overnight experience in a haunted hotel.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My biggest shoutout is to my daughter, Kinsley. We’ve gone through life just the two of us for almost seven years now and she has always been my motivation to be strong and to be my best self. I’d also like to shoutout all of the awesome people I’ve met while working my business. From the creative photographers, to other artists, to gorgeous brides to be, I am always introduced to such beautiful people inside and out
