My favourite quote is “Feel the fear and do it anyway”. I have overcome quite a few obstacles in my life, including addiction, surviving a traumatic head injury, and leaving the corporate world to start my own business. I feel like this quote sums up how I face challenges head on and don’t let the fear paralyse me, which I see is a super common factor in holding people back from chasing their dreams. I went to my first personal development talk by Mastin Kipp in Sydney about 8 years ago, and he taught me to let fear be my compass. Instead of getting into my head too much and having what I call “analysis paralysis” (overthinking decisions, procrastinating, not taking action), I have learned how to just jump into things and figure out how to do it as I go.
