Meet Adam Ogard | Photographer & Videographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Adam Ogard and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Adam, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my business was thinking, “I know people like what I’m was doing with it so instead of only incorporating that in a small part of what I was doing at the time. Why not create a business out of it”.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art & creative side started when I was young being influenced heavily by music, cartoons, books, & movies. I always loved music and the covers of the albums and looking at the pictures. I always wanted to be a musical artist but was always to nervous to perform. Later when I started to get more courage I would take photos and post them to social sites to promote the music I made. People loved the photos and I would always have to ask if people just saw the photos or listened to the music too. That’s when I realized I could make a business out of the photography. Much of my art consists of candid photos and unique forms of art through special moments. Although I provide a very specific service, I made sure that my art has always been the forefront of what I provide and my clients all can see that when they look through my portfolio and read about my business. They know they get a professional who takes their craft seriously and truly enjoys every second of what they do.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my friend was visiting my city first I would take them to a few of my favorite places in the heart of Phoenix. Lo-lo’s for chicken & waffles then head downtown to catch the urban unique vibes of the city of Phoenix. We would go to the art district on Roosevelt and check out some of the artists paintings & other work. We would then for sure have to plan a trip to Sedona to experience the Vortex around that area and the beautiful views of the red rocks and slowly make our way to the Grand Canyon to explore. From there we could come back through Flagstaff and if it’s winter we could see some snow!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I love this question and I want to share a huge reason im successful. A big part of my success goes out to my partner & childhood bestfriend Tyler Phillips. I believe that nobody can reach goals alone whether they see someone and feel motivated or they have someone on their team to help them stay grounded and continue their path. My friend Tyler has always been there to keep me grounded in where I’m at, where I’ve been, and where I’m going. Being able to trust and connect with someone who shares similar goals and ambition to reach them has always been important and him being an open end of energy to feed off of has allowed me to be a better boss, ceo, employee at times, hard worker, & mentor to others.
Another important piece to my success is my family. My mother Marsha, father Paul, sister Rhea, & brother Jon have all helped mold the person I am today. Teaching me love, empathy, respect, morals, and so many life lessons I incorporate in my business today.
