We had the good fortune of connecting with Airicka Green and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Airicka, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The thought process behind starting my business was the passion i had for the beauty industry and to show everyone how creative and fun it can actually be. I watched youtube videos for years watching and becoming inspired. I finally took a leap and starting creating masterpieces as well with creating wigs, cosmetic and skincare products from scratch.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
The Work I Provide Is High End Beauty Products From Sewing Machine Made Wigs, Handmade Skincare, Cosmetic & Acrylic Press On Nails. As Well As Beautiful Clothing That I Will Be Launching June 2023.

One of my biggest struggles with my business was behind the scenes which was self-doubt. I wasn’t the popular girl or the person who was really social with others so in my mind I always doubted the fact “who will support me and my craft.”

This went on for years. I attempted to launch my business in 2014 but it only lasted maybe a week because I was so scared. I was in my own way for so long even but I have a best friend, Riyanah who has been encouraging since day 1 she is the reason and provided me with the motivational push to fully go through with my business in 2019.

When launching my business in February 2019, I was 4 months pregnant with my second son I was not working at the time so it was a struggle for me throughout because I didn’t really have the funds to invest in my business the way I wanted to. Fast forward a couple of months I started working and started to invest into my business each check. By this point, it was the early summer time and I have not gotten a sale which was very discouraging at the time. I didn’t get my first hair order until August. Within my first year of business, I made 10k in sales.

Although it took some time for me to get my first sale. I spent way too much money to give up and as a mother, I can’t allow my kids to see mommy fail or give up.

Airilasha Collection (Formerly DollFace Extensions & DollFace Kollection) provides women with a one-stop shop experience. No need to spend hours and 100s of dollars in a salon. I provide 100% durable and reusable handmade glueless custom wigs that can be colored or custom colored by me, acrylic, and gel press-on nails, as well as all-natural skincare & cosmetic products.

We also provide hair products such as lace glue, silk mist, shampoo, etc. We have cosmetic products that include 100% faux mink lashes, foundation, lip gloss, lipliners, and more. Our newly launched all-natural plant-based yoni collection and skincare. We will be launching our clothing collection in June 2023. Hair, skin, and nails are just a few ways women boost their confidence and allow them to feel beautiful and happy.

I think one thing that sets us apart is our one-stop shop experience we are on the road to providing women everything they need to their doorsteps without having to shop at multiple places or step foot in a salon if they choose not to. Whether it’s a chill day in the house or a night out we will have everything they need beauty, skincare, and fashion-wise.

I Am An Absolute Foodie For Literally A Week Long Me And My Bestfriend Hope Or Riyanah Will Def Find All Types Of Places To Eat. From Trying A Place Called Chelsea’s Kitchen To Hot N Juicy Crawfish. We May Go Out A Little And Shop At The Mall Or Go Atv Riding But Most Of Our Time Will Literally Be Having Fun WITH FOOD lol

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There Are Actually 6 People That Play A Major Role On How I Got My Business Started And Maintaining It. #1 Is My Bestfriend Riyanah She Was actually the first peron i spoke to about wanting to have my own beauty business i always had alot of self doubt but she kept on encouraging me to take that leap. My Mom Of Course Is The Next Person, she seen how serious i was she went to my website bought alot of random things told me she didnt want anything but use the money to buy more inventory and of course i was excited about that. My Next Two Are My Sons They Are The Reason I Am Still Maintaining It Because They Cant See Mommy Fail Or Give Up. My Kids Were 1 And The other was Still In my stomach baking lol. They are about to be 4 and 5 now and its amazing they even became my little helpers. My Next Is My Childs Father He Actually Bought My First Big Purchase On Hair Extensions And My Ringlight. Last but not least youtuber Everything Eboni Without Her Business Tips And Words Of Encouragement In The Business World I Would Be Lost And i appreciate her so much.
