We had the good fortune of connecting with Alex Lopez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alex, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Hello, my name is Alex From nocturnal painting. I started my business quite frankly because I was tired of working for somebody’s else future and not my own. I also wanted to be more financially stable for my family and future family. I felt an underwhelming feeling of dissatisfaction each day until I decided enough was enough. I started working different jobs to see what interested me and when I began to paint it sparked a light bulb. I asked myself questions like what’s one thing people see every single day and how can that impact them? The answer was very clear to me which was the COLOR of the environment which can dramatically change the mood of an individual and spark those creative ideas people are too afraid to try. I’m just an ordinary young man whos trying to spark a new light on people’s homes soo they can feel at home and enjoys seeing the joy of those individuals. Change is good, not bad and just help people see that with paint.

What should our readers know about your business?
Trust, outstanding determination, honesty, and quality are what we strive for as a company. Here at Nocturnal Painting, we love to bring your vision of colors into reality. Transforming even the slightest things such as walls can open up the space of a home, make it feel warmer, cold, etc. The contrast between colors allows you to play around with so many colors which honestly is what I look forward to because everyone has a different vision of their homes! We got where we are today by just being raw with our clients and explaining what exactly we are going to do and then executing it. It was not easy getting to where we are and there is still so much room for improvement but what I would say I learned is to build that one-on-one connection with your client first. I think building that connection can not only increase the chances of you getting the job but the client feels more safe allowing you in their home. You want to show them you can be trusted and why they should choose your service instead of somebody else. It takes confidence to do what we do and passion to continue on. I want the world to know it doesn’t matter who you are and where you come from, that shouldn’t stop you from going out and doing what you want to do. Nocturnal painting originated because we came from nothing to something by working from sun up to sun down. We are the behind-the-scenes of every project. We were once the shadows of the homes but now the light that rays within and out of homes.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Arizona what can I say such a beautiful blazing place to be. Want a consistent ray of sunshine come on down to Arizona. It has marvelous landscapes up north where the wind blows strong with tall pine trees and those enormous red famous rocks in Sedona. Oh yeah, you can’t forget that infamous Grand Canyon with its crazy canons and breathtaking view. Mother nature created that and it still blows my mind. Arizona also has its more city side located in Scottsdale or downtown with their interesting architectural designs and layouts. Want to take your other significant other to a fancy restaurant then that’s your best bet. Or if you’re feeling the more college vibe with friends and just to hang out there is Tempe/mesa with lots of activities like riding scooters, boat paddling, pop-up shops, entertainment, etc. There are also adventurous places like hiking the tall camelback mountain that has many people defeated but with an astonishing view at the top.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’m on an adventure to pursue my dreams of becoming a great leader and owning a company to allow other people’s dreams to become reality too! I wouldn’t be here without my amazing parents, loving girlfriend, friends, and mentors who love and supported me throughout my journey. They thought me so many things such as never giving up even if you fail and having a good work ethic. They thought me to be mindful of others, authentic, caring, loving, and courageous which I strive to do every day. At the end of the day, we are all human and just need help from time to time. I just want to give them all a big thanks because without them I wouldn’t be here today. So let’s get to painting, transforming one house at a time because people’s smile makes me keep going every single day.
