We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexander Lopez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alexander, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success is my family. My family is not only supportive but also motivates me to push through and succeed.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Hooligan SCC is a strength and conditioning gym that helps all members of my community. I love to help people make healthier lifestyle changes that are suited for them but also builds confidence within themselves to do better. I am excited to see my business grow as a strength and conditioning coach and to see the progress with my clients. Getting to where I am today was not easy for me. I struggled in the beginning to take a risk to start my own business and leave my nine to five job because of the fear of financial instability. However, with the support of my family and friends I was able to overcome that fear. Lessons I have learned along the way is patience and to keep a positive mental attitude through good and bad. I want the world to know that at Hooligan SCC attention to detail is very important and you will find humility and tough love in my training.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Hula’s Modern Tiki Bar! Drinks and dinner! Hula’s is one of my favorites spots in the valley! The atmosphere there is very relaxed. From there I would take them to Rebel Lounge for a punk rock show! I would also take them to Little O’s in downtown Phoenix were they have a great selection of food (including vegan!) and drinks. Another one of my favorite spots is out here in the West Valley, Saddle Mountain Brewery were you can find the valley’s best beers!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The punk scene and continuous audio play of PMA Effect by John Joseph.
