We had the good fortune of connecting with Amanda Comage-Trower and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Amanda, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Being an entrepreneur is risky. We are taking risk that someone will believe in our vision and especially with my school campus, we have combined children’s mental health and education together while training inspiring teachers. Very risky unstable fields right now but they are what’s most important to healing our children and teachers in our failing education and mental health systems. So taking this risk is worth so much more than words can describe

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m a children’s therapeutic play practitioner, certified school counselor and therapeutic children’s grief funeral buddy. I love the abundance of information and experience I’ve learned over the last 30 plus years working with children and families. That has been crucial to the growth of my business. Having the hands on experience and personal experience as a mom of 6 and grandmother of 7. Helping children who are struggling with big challenges in their family dynamics, anxiety grieving or self esteem and bullying, was not only a personal experience of mine growing up at times, but it’s been an unfortunate experience for many children I see.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love Arizona and all the unique beauty it offers. We would start breakfast at my favorite spot in Gilbert Az, Liberty Marketplace for breakfast and their delicious coffee. Can’t forget to ask them to put crumbles of bacon inside your pancake, the chef & crew are the best. We would head to Phoenix to walk around the art district and find small bites to eat before heading to Scottsdale for some ice cream at Sugar bowl and walk around old town Scottsdale before heading to Boyce Thompson Arboretum to see the sunset head home to San Tan Valley Queen Creek area for some pizza from Vero Chicago pizza.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The CEO of Early Childhood Educators Academy & our very own RRR Director Laneic Lavalle has been such an impactful part of the growth of our Retention Relocation Readjust program to help children struggling with big behaviors and emotions in their public school. Early Childhood Educators Academy ECEA is our partnership program for our Pre-K-K students in our Grow with me stage. Our first partnership location will be in Surprise Arizona 2024/25 school year.
