We had the good fortune of connecting with Amber Carfield and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Amber, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
Since I was young I have always been a very routine person. Wake up at the same time, eat at the same time, and overall keep to a schedule. I really think that my routine is what keeps me balanced with work and life. But being flexible is also key to keeping the my sanity. Some days you have to work extra hours to meet a deadline so I use that as an opportunity to balance that with a sneak away when I can. I feel like work will give back what you put in so I have a dedication to serve my clients to the best of my abilities everyday and I take rest as a reward.
What should our readers know about your business?
Our business is all about kitchen remodeling all though we do many projects that encompass the whole house. We provide a turn-key process for our clients remodel projects. We are a small family owned business with 9 members on our team. We use high quality products, with premier customer service. Our clients can take advantage of our online based customer portal where they can stay connected to their project even from afar. We want our clients to walk away with a remarkable remodel outcome and a great story to share with their friends and family. It all comes down to relationships and really putting our hearts into each and every client we meet.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Any foodie would find that Scottsdale and surrounding areas have a never ending supply of delicious food and drink options. There is something for everyone here. For example Old Town Scottsdale has shops, comedy clubs, and a list of bars and restaurants that could keep you busy for weeks. One of my personal favorites in Old Town is a gem called The Mission Old Town, this place is not only inviting and gorgeous inside that food is outstanding. Don’t go forget to order the table side guacamole, it is the all time best! Another great spot in Old Town is Culinary Dropout. Here you can experience a trendy casual atmosphere perfect for a night out with friends or coworkers. After all the food and drinks you can hit up one of our many hiking trails. Camelback mountain is widely know as a great hiking spot, you can see the whole valley from the top. In the state of Arizona there are more than 300 golf courses. You can find a golf course here to fit any golfers abilities, along with gorgeous views and desert landscapes. Scottsdale and the Phoenix area is filled with high-end resorts, golf courses, art, food, and outdoor adventures, one week is not enough time to experience it all.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
After 25 years in this business I have found that team work is the absolute key to success in the remodeling world. The support of the team I work with is everything. Without this team my ideas would just live and die with me. Together we can make dreams come true for our clients. Our owners Shannon Carfield and Dean Eckenrode have built an amazing team and a shining reputation in Scottsdale. Simone Bumpas and Mackenzie Couto are the girls on my design team. They take care of so much and make sure we are always prepared for whatever comes our way. These girls are little gems that show up every day with a smile and design in their hearts. Our field technicians are true craftsmen and always find a way to bring the designs to life. We are blessed to have this amazing team of people who truly care about each other and our clients.
