We had the good fortune of connecting with Amber Farace and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Amber, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
My vision is to help redefine the vanity-stigma that surrounds the aesthetics industry and create awareness on how self-infliction has bilateral effect on skin. Skin is our largest organ and first line of defense to help protect us from external factors such as bacteria, chemicals, and temperature. Skin-investment, taking care of our skin, not only helps the health of our skin yet it can improve our self-esteem and self-perception, which may allow us to see many other opportunities in life.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The magic question of why are you different than all the rest…passion. Passion is not read–it is felt which will be applied to every person and community that touches my brand, Skin Apothecary. I am where I am today by way of being passionate, ethical and resolute in not just business but everyday life. “It’s not what you know but who you know,” right? I have been very lucky to have a select few mentor me at pivotal moments throughout my 21 years in the medical aesthetic industry, as this is a challenging industry to enter and maintain validity.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Some of the best kept secrets are right here in my community of Cave Creek and Carefree. The Hideaway has some of the most welcoming people and amazing drinks made by KaCee, Bar Manager, mouthwatering thai food at the Z’s House of Thai, or quench my thirst with a iced matcha soy latte at The Grotto.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My shoutout belongs to more than one, as there are many that have helped me crane my neck above the waves: George Butler, fiance, Nicholas Farace, son, Lilly Butler, bonus-daughter, Allie Nichols, friend and limited partner, my dear friends, Kelly & Jason Davis and Mark George.
