We had the good fortune of connecting with Amy Aranyosi and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Amy, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
I am still struggling with work life balance, honestly. After 20 years of business it has ebbed and flowed. I get quite consumed with my projects.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I photograph local bands and tell their stories through my images. The main challenges lately are due to COVID and the fact that music venues are in large part closed. Despite this I still find ways to keep connected to local musicians and collaborate on upcoming projects via social media.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Downtown Phoenix & Grand Ave are my favorite spots to partake in eating, drinking and creating.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shout out to the local music scene. They have embraced me and my work as valuable. They have welcomed me as part of the community.
