We had the good fortune of connecting with Amy Maneely and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Amy, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk is challenging and rewarding. Throughout my adult life, I have taken risks. It started after college with a cross-country relocation from Michigan to Arizona. I started out my early career as a high school teacher. After meeting my husband, I time to stay home with my children when they were young. I pondered returning to teach, but I have always wanted to run my own business. My business partner and husband encouraged me to consider real estate. I took the risk, got my license and reinvented myself as an entrepreneur. The challenges and obstacles I faced helped me to grow in ways I never imagined. I have the opportunity to run my own business, help clients reach their goals, and make a positive impact on my community. The older I grow, the more grateful I am for these risks, they really help me to develop as a person to be come more dynamic and adaptable.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Team Maneely has a varied set of experiences and knowledge from a combined 28 years in the industry. As real estate investors, we have personal and professional experiences with commercial real estate, multi-unit housing, and fix and flip projects. We can provide our clients data regarding various segments of real estate that not all real estate agents have experience or knowledge of, and guide them through their decision making process. We work with buying and selling clients in residential real estate. Working with both parties gives us an edge and a perspective over other larger real estate groups. In listening to buying client’s needs and wants we can help them identify potential homes. In turn, working with sellers, we know what buyers are looking for, and can market their properties appropriately.
One unique niche we serve, and have found very rewarding, is providing seniors and their families either transition to elder care or end of life real estate services. We have had multiple opportunities to provide seniors with transitions to their next stage of life. Working with attorneys and multiple decision makers, we can help with moving, downsizing, estate sales, organizing, repairs, and consistent, confident communication to all parties. Although this can be an emotional time for the families involved, we perform at our best during this challenging time. Client care and personalized service are core values of our business.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Having fun in Prescott is as easy as packing your favorite cowboy boots and giddy-upping downtown! Drop your luggage off at the Motor Lodge (quirky fun boutique motel) and lace up your tennis shoes. Head out to stretch your legs by exploring one of the many miles of hiking trails. From beginner (Peavine Trail) to advanced (Constellation) you can find one that fits your ability and mood. If you forgot your favorite walking stick or water bottle, check into the Hike Shack for supplies. After working up an appetite be sure to stop by the County Seat overlooking the downtown Courthouse square for a tasty lunch. Ready for a little afternoon competition? Head over to Pioneer Park (outdoor) or Espire (indoor) for pickleball fun! A quick shower at the motel, get ready for a local fine dining experience at El Gato Azul. Great wines and tasty shareable apps. Lastly, head down to historic Whiskey Row with your boots on to dance the night away at Matt’s Saloon. Since the night is young, head to the Hassayampa Inn for a dessert and a night cap, you won’t regret it!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are so many persons involved with my success. My husband, and best cheerleader, encouraged me to take a leap of faith in real estate. He increased my passion by creating opportunities for me to go to classes, get licensed, and attend enrichment certifications. Most importantly, he had years of experience, and was able to guide me on best practices. He also has given me space to focus on the things I do best. I am so thankful for all of my clients through the years, who trust that I have the knowledge and professionalism to help them achieve their goals in real estate. Our business is largely a referral based business. My clients help our business grow by sending their friends, family and even strangers our way. When this happens it is the best compliment I could ever receive!
Where would I be without the hard work and efforts of my industry peers. There are so many ways that the related business: lender, title, escrow, photographers, videographers, social media marketers have helped scale and grow our business. They really make me look good, and I am forever grateful for their hard work.
