We had the good fortune of connecting with Andi Naka and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Andi, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I am very lucky that I have had horrible bosses in the past. Ironically that was the catapult for me to be where I am today. Long story short; one of these bosses, once asked the entire staff to text him when we were going to use the bathroom, so that he could keep track of it; but not because we were busy. It was a luxury watch store with $20,000+ expensive watches. We literally had two clients a day or less, but he was just a control freak. I remember at the moment I saw the group chat where he texted everyone: “before you go to the bathroom, you have to text me!” I knew that I didn’t want that for my life. The next day I quit my job, and I was totally on my own. That was the beginning of my journey.  I started finding ways of making money and being creative. Like the quote says: “When there’s a will there’s a way.” I found my path to start my own business through lots of trial and error mistakes–sweat and tears.
Let me tell you this, it is so worth it! I wanted the freedom and I don’t want to be controlled, or feel diminished by someone having a power trip.
I once heard Kevin O’Leary’s (from Shark Tank) story on how he decided at such a young age to become an entrepreneur. It was because he was working at an ice cream shop, and the boss asked him to scrape the gum people spit outside of the shop. He didn’t want to do that, because there was a girl he was flirting with, and he was afraid that she was going to see him scraping gum. He told his boss that was not part of his job, and the boss said: “You do whatever I say. You work for me!” and that’s when he decided to become an entrepreneur so I can totally relate to that.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I love being a creator and working in the Creative industry. I feel like this is one of the ways that keeps my mind creative and working. I have read so many research studies from doctors saying that once you stop using your brain, and you do the same thing over, and over, and over again, your brain will literally stop working. Being in the creative industry allows me to challenge myself every day which keeps my mind alive and active. I want the world to know about my brand as a page that inspires people.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

Morning: 1. Start your day with a mesmerizing brunch at Eifel Tower Restaurant with a table view of the Bellagio Fountains.
2. Take a walk along the Las Vegas Strip, admiring the iconic hotels and their unique architectural features.
3. Visit famous landmarks like the Bellagio Fountains, the Mirage Volcano, or the High Roller Observation Wheel for some incredible photo opportunities.

Afternoon:
Lunch at the World famous Hells Kitchen from Gordon Ramsay at Caesars Palace.
Walk and explore Area 15, an immersive experience in Las Vegas for digestion.
Explore Venetian and see the gondolas
If there’s time enjoy the hotel pool.

Evening
Dinner at the award-winning Steak house Bazaar Meat,
Watch a show: Shin Lim and Colin Cloud, the best magic shows in Las Vegas, or Michael Jackson ONE, by Cirque du Soleil.
After the show hit a world class nightclub.

And that’s a wrap!
