We had the good fortune of connecting with Andrea Barkley and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Andrea, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
My purpose in life is to help people feel their fittest. When you get moving, you become healthier and happier and inspire others to do the same too. My new accountability program – The Daily Motivator – texts you each weekday morning with specific workouts and clean eating homework.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’m a private personal trainer, private cook, and fitness and motherhood influencer. I’ve written two books on all natural protein shake recipes, host a fitness lifestyle podcast called The Andrea Barkley Show and recently launched The Daily Motivator – morning accountability text messages directly from me with workout and clean eating homework.
I got to where I am today by choosing to do what I love and sharing with others just how good it feels to move your body and eat clean.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Driving up 64th Street to the top of Camelback mountain!
Hiking Pinnacle Peak
a spa treatment at Sanctuary
Dinner at The Mission
Shopping at Scottsdale Quarter and a meal at True Foods
The Desert Botanical Garden
Dinner on the patio at AZ88
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I attribute my success to being self-motivated, reading books, hiring coaches, traveling, and being disciplined!
