Meet Andrew Carson III | Architect

We had the good fortune of connecting with Andrew Carson III and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Andrew, why did you pursue a creative career?
Architecture is a very challenging field, there are no right or wrong answers in design, so exploring the many opportunities to meet the clients programmatic needs is a wonderful adventure.
What should our readers know about your business?
We are a small High-end Residential and Boutique Commercial firm that enjoys the practice of architecture, because it is a rich and fascinating collaboration, not only with our clients but with the amazingly talented people who work with us. We began in 2002 and have been an active part in helping create and shape the built environment around us, it is rewarding to see how far we have come as a firm and I am excited to look into the future and imagine where we are going next. each day seems to present itself with challenges, but i think as we overcome them we only get better. one of the lessons we have learned along the way is to never undervalue the services you provide to your clients, those who are worth working for appreciate it, and those who don’t probably shouldn’t be your clients, we are not for everyone. We are a very hands on firm with a focus on site specific design, while we integrate the clients programmatic needs into the environment the residence is located. We have fun doing everything and in every aspect of design.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I have many favorite places in the Valley to Visit, I Love being outdoors, we have 5 kids and we like to go boating with Friends, so Canyon or Bartlet lake are always a fun place to visit with friends. We also like hiking, Camelback mountain, South mountain, Picacho Peak, Pappago Park, Tonto Natural Bridge are among our favorites. We enjoy eating out with friends as well, Chop in Downtown Chandler, Brio in Santan Village, Red Lobster, as i am a Crab leg Fanatic!, but our Favorite place is Cafe Lalibela in Tempe, they have the best Ethiopian food, we have had outside of Ethiopia, and we love taking friends there. Sunday’s you will find us at Family Bible Church, where I am also the Children’ s Pastor, it is the best way to start my week, Faith, Fun and Fellowship, Hope to see you there some day, Blessings!!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would not be able to do what I do each day without the patronage of our amazing clients, who put their trust in our firm, to help bring their dreams into reality. The amazing staff in my office, that keep up with the constant changes and make sure we are on top of all the details, along with the many Contractors and Sub Contractors who make all of these creations come to life, and we are Blessed to have such wonderful relationships with so many other Talented Designers who we partner with as well to help each Clients vision become reality.
